As a machinist at our company, you would have access to full training on our state-of-the-art CNC milling, turning and sliding head machines allowing you to develop your engineering skills to ensure you’re always at the top of your game. Full training will be provided on the range of CNC machines we have at Kenworth Engineering in order to get you up to speed on using the latest in CNC machine technology. Experience of programming would be advantageous but not essential.

We are looking for Millers and Turners and the role carries a premium for working on shift patterns.

DAY TO DAY ROLE OF A CNC MACHINIST

As a machinist at Kenworth Engineering your day to day role will be exciting and challenging, giving you a range of projects to work on for a variety of clients across many different industries.

Daily tasks will involve setting the machine with the correct tooling and work holding pieces. By using your engineering knowledge you’ll load in and prove out the program to include adjusting feeds and speeds and resolve any issues to produce the part within specification.

You’ll be following our stringent quality process throughout each job, checking each part is within tolerance and specification to the drawing requirements.
